Job summary

Qualifications

• 1 year of phlebotomy experience with geriatrics.
• Active CNA certification in the appropriate state and a driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Performs CNA duties per job code 0101 and department 6300.
• Manages lab data collection and ensures test orders are processed.
• Identifies patients correctly to avoid treatment errors.
• Collects blood from patients, mainly elderly.
• Prepares and distributes laboratory specimens.
• Maintains infection control and safety procedures.
• Communicates with patients clearly and documents information accurately.
• Orders and maintains laboratory supplies.
• Keeps work areas clean and stocked.
• Maintains confidentiality of information.
• Coordinates with lab manager on lab-related issues.
• Works independently and in a team.
• Follows OSHA, CLIA, and federal regulations.
• Maintains professional appearance and attitude.
• Other duties as assigned.
