Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or current nursing student to join the patient care team at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital. The PCA will support the RN with clinical tasks, monitor glucose, perform EKGs, dress wounds, and respond to emergencies using CPR/AED.

The role emphasizes patient- and family-centered care, with a focus on accuracy, communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or nursing student who completed Fundamentals of Nursing or clinical rotation.
• Adheres to ICARE standards.
• Able to pass clinical competency, basic math and reading testing.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Ability to enter and retrieve computerized information.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with clinical tasks including blood glucose monitoring, EKGs and simple dressings.
• Maintain aseptic technique and respond to medical emergencies using Heartsaver CPR and AED.
• Support patient and family needs and help ensure efficient unit operations.
• Provide patient-centered care reflecting Mass General Brigham values.
