Job summary

Right at Home Monterey Bay is seeking compassionate CNAs and Personal Care Assistants to support seniors and vulnerable adults in the local community. You will be equipped with PPE and receive ongoing support to enhance quality of life for those you serve.

The role includes day, night, and overnight shifts with competitive pay and benefits. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of caregiving experience, with a valid driver’s license and background check

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
• 1 year of experience in caregiving (family members or professional).
• Willing to commute to Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, Watsonville, Soquel areas.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
• Pass a background check.
• CNA license, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide certification preferred.
• Willing to complete all onboarding paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with transferring/moving clients from place to place throughout their home.
• No more than 20% performing housekeeping activities which include vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning the bathroom to assist client(s).
• Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions.
• Accompanying clients on errands or medical appointments.
• Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving.
• Medication reminders.
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises.
• Dementia care.
• Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.
