Job summary

Sanford Health’s Bloomfield facility is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care in a 70-bed long-term/post-acute setting. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with the nursing team under RN supervision.

The role requires Nebraska CNA licensure or active enrollment, minimum age 16, and willingness to work rotating 8-hour shifts with every-other weekend/holiday rotation. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
• A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually.
• When applicable, for applicable states, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
• Dependent on facility and required responsibilities, this role may classify as a Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor vehicle report and proof of valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of an RN.
• Assists with basic health care needs including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vital signs, and psychosocial support.
• Aids in transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct techniques and equipment.
• Completes tasks related to food preparation and dining and supports residents during meals and snacks.
• Documents resident interactions and communicates changes to the charge nurse.
