Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join our senior care team in a long-term care facility. You will provide resident-centered care, assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with a registered nurse to ensure quality care.

Active CNA certification is required; minimum age 16. You must be able to cover at least 4 shifts a month, including one weekend, with opportunities for advancement and education support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification required by facility or in process of obtaining certification.
• Maintains yearly competency testing and continuing education credits.
• May be classified as Sanford Category II Driver where applicable; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and recording vital signs.
• Assist residents with transfers, repositioning, and walking using proper techniques.
• Provide range of motion and passive exercises.
• Assist with meals and dining, ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with housekeeping, laundry, wellness and recreation programs; participate in committees as needed.
