Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to serve as caregiver for residents in long-term care. The NA provides daily living assistance, basic nursing care, and support under an RN supervision, following care plans and infection control policies.

Responsibilities include assisting with transfers, mobility, meals, vital signs, and documentation. Must be 16+, CNA certification, and prepared to work a mix of day/evening/night/weekend shifts with ongoing competency training.

Qualifications

• CNA certification is required; high school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum age 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long‑term care preferred.
• Annual competency testing and 12 hours of continuing education required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Assist with meals, dining, and hydration; document resident status and care.
• Observe and report changes to the RN and maintain infection prevention practices.
