Job summary

Jones-Harrison Senior Living in Minneapolis is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support TCU/LTC residents in our Skilled Nursing Facility. This weekend, patient care role includes evening shifts with shift pay, and every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Active NAR on the MDH registry by start date or enrollment in Ebenezer’s Nursing Assistant Course; up to a 4-month post hire to activate. Ebenezer offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities to grow in geriatric care.

Qualifications

• Active as Nursing Assistant, Registered (NAR) on the MDH registry by start date.
• Eligible for Ebenezer’s Nursing Assistant Course or Pre-CNA pathway with a 4-month post hire to active on registry.
• Experience with geriatric populations and patient care.
• Strong communication and compassionate care for residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with personal cares per care plan (bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, showers).
• Records vitals and reports status to staff.
• Handles AM/PM/NOC cares including peri care and catheter care.
• Assists with transfers using proper technique and equipment as needed.
• Observes residents and documents changes in EMR.
• Keeps rooms and work areas clean; reports equipment issues; answers phones promptly.

We are looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA/NAR) to support our TCU/LTC residents in our Skilled Nursing Facility- Jones Harrison! This weekend, patient support position includes;

• 15 hours every two weeks
• Evening shift , evening shift pay
• Includes every other weekend Saturday/Sunday and holiday rotation

Responsibilities:

• Assists resident based on individual care plan with personal cares such as; bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, showers and responds to call lights
• Nursing Assistant may per community patient care model check and record vitals
• AM/PM/NOC cares; including peri care and catheter care
• May turn, lift or transfer residents with or without other persons/mechanical assistance
• Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff in a clear and concise manner
• Chart or document in electronic medical record system
• Seeks to resolve resident and family concerns
• Receives and gives report to appropriate staff during various times in work shift
• Other duties such as; order and cleanliness in rooms and work areas, reports malfunctioning equipment to maintenance department, and answers phones in a timely manner

Required:

• Active as Nursing Assistant, Registered (NAR) on the MDH Nursing Assistant Registry by start date – OR- Individual who is hired into Ebenezer’s Nursing Assistant Course or Ebenezer’s Pre-CNA job for Nursing Assistants; will be granted a 4-month post hire to become active on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.

Preferred:

• Ability to work with a diverse and geriatric population
• Communicate efficiently, with compassion and understanding for residents and coworkers
• Experience working as a HHA, PCA, DSP, NA, Resident Assistant
• Work experience in a customer service setting
