Job summary

DelDOT is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide therapeutic support and care for clients with various disabilities in Delaware. Responsibilities include leading therapy sessions, monitoring vital signs, and assisting clients with personal hygiene.

This casual/seasonal role requires Delaware certification and is not eligible for pensions or healthcare benefits. New hires will undergo a background check, drug testing, and orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provides mentoring and orientation for newly hired or less experienced staff.
• Leads therapy processes and discussions.
• Participates on interdisciplinary care teams.
• Ensures aseptic integrity of medical devices.
• Monitors and records vital signs and behaviors.
• Reports changes in an individual's status.
• Observes client activities for safety.
• Escorts individuals to appointments.
• Applies interventions for inappropriate behaviors.
