Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Terrace West department at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. This 36-hour/week day-shift role involves three 12-hour shifts with weekend and holiday rotation.

You will perform basic patient care, support emotional and physical needs, greet patients, and collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality care and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
• Active Maine CNA registry in good standing.
• Commitment to compassionate patient care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care activities within the scope of practice.
• Assists patients with meeting their emotional, physical and spiritual needs.
• Greets patients and visitors.
• Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls.
• Calls codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested.
• Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Assists with keeping unit and patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly.
