Job summary

Kindred Hospital San Antonio Central is a long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital located inside Baptist Medical Center. We provide ICU and telemetry-level services with a multidisciplinary team focused on patient recovery and transition to the next level of care.

The RN role involves planning and delivering direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process, collaborating with family and the care team, and participating in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary certificate, diploma, or program graduation from an accredited school of nursing (Required).
• Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred).
• Registered Nurse (RN) state licensure (Required upon hire).
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) (Required upon hire).
• ACLS preferred upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process: Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation.
• Develops nursing care plans in coordination with patient, family, and interdisciplinary staff.
• Communicates changes in patient condition with Physicians and nursing leadership; participates in discharge planning.

Education
