Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in Windom, MN is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. You will assist with daily living activities, vital signs, and support nursing staff under RN supervision.

The role requires CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing or enrollment in a training program, minimum age 16, and willingness to participate in ongoing competency testing and continuing education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred but not required.
• Minimum age 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Required CNA certification with State Board of Nursing or in process of obtaining certification.
• Annual continuing education of at least 12 hours and competency testing.
• May require licensure/registry as applicable; driving may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with transfers, range of motion, and vital signs.
• Support meals, hydration, and dining experiences; assist with activities and recreation.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and care-related documentation.
