Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support the nursing team under an RN's supervision.

The role emphasizes infection prevention, PPE use, and compassionate care. CNA certification is required; drivers may be needed in some cases. This is a PRN, on-site position with varied weekly hours in Alma, NE.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA certification with the State Board, or be enrolled in a training program for certification.
• Minimum age of 16; prior long-term care experience preferred.
• Satisfactorily completes yearly competency testing and continuing education credits.
• May be classified as Sanford Category II Driver where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance as per care plan.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, feeding, and vital signs.
• Support transfers, repositioning, ROM, and safe use of transfer equipment.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
