Job summary

North Carolina Specialty Hospital in Durham, NC seeks a Nursing Assistant to support patients across the age spectrum under RN supervision. You will perform activities of daily living and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

This role also involves clerical support and receptionist duties to help deliver patient care. CNA certification and BLS are required, with CNA II preferred, and prior hospital or ambulatory surgery center experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with CNA certification.
• CNA I certification required; CNA II preferred.
• BLS certification required through an AHA/ARC course.
• At least one year hospital or ambulatory surgical center experience.
• Experience with medical records and basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and provide clerical support.
• Perform receptionist duties to enhance patient care delivery.
• Assist physicians in procedures as needed.
