Job summary

North Carolina Specialty Hospital is seeking a CNA for the Inpatient Unit on the Night shift. Under the supervision of the registered nurse, you will assist patients across the age continuum with daily living activities and provide basic nursing care while maintaining a safe and clean environment.

You will also provide clerical support to enhance patient care delivery and assist physicians in procedures as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with CNA certification.
  • CNAI certification required; CNA II preferred.
  • BLS certification through an AHA/ARC accredited course.
  • At least 1 year hospital or ambulatory experience.
  • Experience with medical records and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living under RN supervision.
  • Support safe, clean environment and document care.
  • Provide clerical support and receptionist duties.
  • Assist physicians in procedures as needed.

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the registered nurse, the NA will assist patients across the age continuum (4 weeks to geriatric) with activities of daily living, providing basic nursing care to patients and assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. The NA must demonstrate the ability to provide clerical support and receptionist duties to enhance delivery of patient care. The NA must demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and in situations that demand patience, tact, stamina and endurance. The primary objective of this position is to assure the delivery of comprehensive, safe, effective, cost effective and appropriate nursing care for patients across the age continuum in accordance with established hospital policy, nursing practice standards. The NA must demonstrate the ability to assist physicians in procedures.

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with documented certification as a nursing assistant
  • CNAI certification required; CNA II certification preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; certification must be through an AHA or ARC accredited course.
  • At least one (1) year of previous experience in a hospital based or ambulatory surgical center
  • Previous experience with medical records and computer skills preferred
