Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a CNA I to provide and document daily living assistance and maintain a safe, clean environment under the supervision of a registered nurse. The CNAs on the Professional Nursing Resource Team rotate across units to meet patient needs during each shift.

The role requires High School or GED, one year of acute hospital experience, NA I licensure, basic computer skills for documentation, de-escalation techniques, and NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• One year of experience in an acute hospital setting required.
• NA I licensure/certification required.
• Basic computer skills for documentation.
• De-Escalation Techniques.
• NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides and documents assistance to patients with activities of daily living and maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
• Provides safe, continuous quality patient care in a variety of settings as part of the PNRT CNA team.
• Must be able to work in at least 3 facilities within the defined market (Greater Charlotte or Greater Winston-Salem).
