Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Nurse Aide I to aid residents with daily living activities and to help maintain a safe, clean environment under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities include assisting in Assisted Living units, documenting observations, and reporting any changes to the Charge Nurse. Requires a High School Diploma or GED, NAI completion, NA I registry, and medication safety training, with 1 year in long-term care preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One year experience preferred; one year in long-term care or assisted living required.
• Completion of NAI program and NA I registration.
• Medication Safety - AME required.
• NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience:
  • One year preferred.
  • One year Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Completion of NAI program, required.
  • Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required.
  • Medication Safety - AME, required.
  • NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
• Additional Skills (preferred): Basic computer skills for documentation.
