Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Nurse Aide to assist patients with activities of daily living and to document care under the direction of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe, clean environment and reporting status changes to the Charge Nurse.

Preferred candidates have at least one year of experience in long-term care or assisted living settings and possess a High School Diploma or GED. NAI program completion and NA I registry listing are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience: One year preferred; one year Assisted Living facilities experience in long-term care required.

Responsibilities

• Provides and documents assistance to patients with activities of daily living.
• Maintains a safe and clean environment under the supervision of a registered nurse.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience:
  • One year preferred.
  • One year Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Completion of NAI program, required.
  • Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required.
  • Medication Safety - AME, required.
  • NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
• Additional Skills (preferred): Basic computer skills for documentation.
