Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to support patients and nurses in a fast-paced hospital environment. You'll deliver direct, hands-on care and help create a safe, comfortable healing setting during every shift.

Under RN supervision, you will assist with personal care, mobility, vitals, and transportation, while maintaining patient dignity and safety. MUSC is an Equal Opportunity Employer and participates in E-Verify.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Registered Nurse Assistant (CNA) in South Carolina with BLS certification required.
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in SC and BLS are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
• Help ensure patient comfort and safety at all times.
• Change bed linens and maintain a clean, organized patient space.
• Assist with transporting patients to tests and procedures.
• Serve and collect meal trays and provide between-meal nourishment.
• Record temperature and vital signs as directed by nursing staff.
• Support the nursing team with a variety of patient care activities.
