Job summary

Northern Montana Hospital is seeking a Hospice CNA to assist in providing compassionate hospice care under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will help implement the plan of care, monitor patients, and communicate changes to the nursing team.

Required are a Montana Certified Nurse Aide, BLS, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass background and drug screening. Prior CNA experience in long-term or acute care is preferred, with salary commensurate to experience.

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Ability to interpret and apply verbal and written instructions
  • Valid Montana driver’s license and auto insurance
  • Background check and drug screen required
  • Minimum 1 year CNA experience in long-term or acute care preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in hospice nursing care per plan of care under supervision of a hospice RN.
  • Ensure safe delivery of aide services aligned with Bear Paw Hospice mission.
  • Provide compassionate patient and family support consistent with care plan.

About the role

To assist in the provision of hospice nursing care in accordance with a specific hospice aide plan of care for assigned patients as developed by and under the supervision of a hospice registered nurse. To assure the safe delivery of quality aide services which support the mission and philosophy of Bear Paw Hospice.

Qualifications
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Certified Nurse Aide by the State of Montana.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Ability to interpret and apply verbal and written instructions.
  • Valid Montana driver's license and current automobile insurance.
  • Provide a current phone number.
  • Ability to successfully pass Background Check and Drug Screen.
  • Previous CNA experience required; minimum of one year experience in long-term care or acute care setting preferred.
  • Salary is commensurate with up to 10 years of experience.
