Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to patient under direction of the RN.
• Assists the patient with safe transfers and ambulation.
• Reports changes and documents pertinent information and care rendered.
• Practices accepted infection control principles.
• Promotes positive, supportive, respectful communication.
• Ensures an environment that respects patient privacy and property.
• Assists the patient with proper nutrition and fluid intake.
• Contributes to the management and operation of Hospice.
• Performs treatments and procedures according to Hospice policy.
• Promotes the Hospice philosophy and administrative policies.

Essential Functions

• Provides direct patient care to patient under direction of the RN and according to the Aide Plan of Care.
• Provides necessary skills to assist the patient with safe transfers and ambulation per the Hospice policy.
• Provides necessary skill to appropriately report changes and document pertinent information and care rendered to patient to ensure continuity of care.
• Practices accepted infection control principles. Provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
• Promotes positive, supportive, respectful communication to patient/family and other employees.
• Provides an environment which promotes respect for patient, privacy, and property.
• Provides skills necessary to assist the patient with proper nutrition and adequate fluid intake.
• Contributes to the management and efficient operation of the Hospice and demonstrate effective time management skills.
• Provides skills necessary to perform treatments and procedures according to the Hospice policy.
• Promotes the Hospice philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.

Payrate
