Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a CNA Hospice Aide to provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients in a home-based hospice setting. You will support families during end-of-life care and work closely with the hospice team to uphold each patient’s care plan.

Qualifications

• Current state CNA certification in accordance with state requirements.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Assists with daily living activities and mobility as needed.
• Plans and assists with nutritious meals and feeding.
• Performs homemaking and environmental services as assigned.
• Observes, reports, and documents changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Follows written care instructions from a registered nurse.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as directed by nurse or therapist.
• Performs simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.
• Other duties as assigned.
