Amedisys Compassionate Care Hospice is seeking a qualified Certified Nursing Assistant to provide personal care and support to patients in Sebring, FL and surrounding counties. This full-time role requires daily travel, a valid CNA license, CPR, and a reliable vehicle.

Qualifications

• Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant (CNA) required.
• CNA experience within the last two years preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsabilités

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics during personal care tasks.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and environmental tasks as assigned.
• Observes and documents any changes in patient status and reports to the nurse.
• Follows written instructions from a registered nurse before delivering care.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist.
• Performs simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin when required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

This position is based in Sebring, FL and requires daily travel within Highlands and/or Hardee County. It is full-time, M-Friday 8am - 5pm.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics to the performance of specific techniques of personal and supportive care such as ambulation of clients, transferring clients, assisting with the normal range of motion and positioning, and doing household chores.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals, assists with feeding, as assigned.
• Performs homemaking and other environmental services as assigned.
• Observes, reports, and documents any changes in patient's status. If unable to perform a certain task, report to the primary nurse.
• Follow specific written instructions for personal care prepared by a registered nurse in accordance with the plan of care. Written instructions are to be received prior to the delivery of services.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist.
• Performs and records simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.
