Job summary

Jaybird Senior Living in Winthrop, MA is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Home Health Aide to provide personal care and support to residents under ISP. The role reports to the Healthcare Coordinator and emphasizes safety, dignity, and individualized care.

You’ll record vitals, assist with daily activities, and help with transfers, while maintaining a clean, safe environment and participating in trainings.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification
• High school diploma or GED
• CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
• Minimum 6 months of caregiving experience, preferably with seniors
• Compassionate, professional, and able to handle emotionally charged situations
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb stairs, and assist with resident mobility
• Comfort using basic technology for documentation

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs; report changes in condition to supervising nurse.
• Assist residents with daily living needs including hygiene, dressing, mobility, meals, and medication reminders.
• Support safe transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents.
• Prepare and submit progress notes in a timely manner.
• Encourage resident engagement and participation in activities.
• Follow infection control, HIPAA, and community policies.
• Attend required in-service trainings and staff meetings.
