Job summary

The Cypress of Charlotte in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Certified Nurses Aide (CNA) for Home Care. Openings include full-time and PRN shifts with 8:00am–4:00pm, 8:00am–8:00pm, and 6‑10 hour options with rotating weekends.

Must have NC CNA certification and First Aid/CPR, and be willing to drive for on-campus assignments. The role emphasizes 1:1 care, ADL support, medication reminders, transportation, and companionship to promote resident independence.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina CNA certification or in progress.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• 1 year CNA/PCA/HHA/RA experience preferred.
• Geriatrics experience preferred but not required.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 care in resident homes on campus.
• Assist with activities of daily living to promote independence.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, meal prep, and light housekeeping.
• Assist with transportation, transfers or ambulation as needed.
• Assist with appointments and medication reminders.
• Encourage participation in campus activities and exercise programs.
• Provide companionship for off-campus outings and appointments.
• Observe changes and report to RN immediately.
• Maintain compliant availability calendar for PRN status.

Position: Certified Nurses Aide (CNA) – Home Care

Openings

• Full-Time - CNA
• 8am - 4pm with rotating weekends.
• 8am - 8pm with rotating weekends.
• Must be willing to drive the members.
• PRN - All Shifts (6-10 Hour Shifts; detailed at the bottom of this post):
• The schedule will depend on your availability in addition to the company’s.
• Must meet PRN requirements: work 2 Saturdays and 2 Sundays monthly; work 8 total shifts monthly; must work either Thanksgiving OR Christmas and Christmas Eve or Black Friday.

Pay

• CNA PRN Pay range: $17.00 - $19.13 per hour depending on experience.
• CNA AIL and Full-time CNA range: $17.50 - $19.70 per hour depending on experience.

Position Summary

Provide personalized, one-on-one care to residents in campus homes, assisting with activities of daily living, medication reminders, transportation, and companionship to support independence and well-being

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 care in resident homes located on campus.
• Promote independent living activities, provide quality assistance with activities of daily living to enable residents to maintain independent living for as long as appropriate and possible.
• Assist with ADL’s, dressing/bathing, meal preparation and household tasks including light laundry, dishes and bed making. This can include pet care.
• Assist with transportation, transfers or ambulation as resident’s condition warrants.
• Assist members with making appointments as requested.
• Provide reminders to take medication.
• Facilitate exercise programs and encourage member to participate in campus activities.
• Offer companionship for off campus excursions/appointments/shopping.
• Observe and report changes in behavior/appearance to the RN immediately.
• Performance of assigned tasks in emergency situations including fire, electrical and disasters.
• Provide a compliant calendar of availability to the scheduling department by the 15th of every month containing all required elements to maintain PRN status.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina CNA certification or working towards one.
• First Aid/CPR Certified.
• One (1) year experience working as a CNA/PCA/HHA/RA preferred.
• Experience in geriatrics preferred but not required.
• Need to have reliable transportation.

Home Care PRN Shifts

• 1st Shift: 8:00am to 4:00pm
• 2nd Shift: 4:00pm to 10:00pm
• 3rd Shift: 10:00pm to 8:00am
