Job summary

Right at Home West Palm Beach is seeking CNA professionals to join our in-home care team, delivering clinical support to clients in their homes. You will assist with daily living activities, mobility, meals, and light housekeeping while ensuring comfort and safety.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, reliable transportation, and TB/drug background checks; CNA or HHA certification is required, with opportunities for training and growth within our supportive team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with elderly or frail population.
• CNA license or HHA certification required.
• TB test and drug screening required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Pass background check.
• Ability to work in in-home care environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living to support clients.
• Assist with ambulation and transfers as needed.
• Prepare meals and snacks according to instructions.
• Accompany patients to medical appointments.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks in the home.
• Monitor health status and report changes to supervisor.
• Provide compassionate companionship and safety monitoring.

Essential Functions:

Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living. These could include (but are not limited to):

• Personal Hygiene
• Ambulation/Transfers
• Dressing/Shaving
• Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompany patient on errands or medical appointments
• Performs light housekeeping activities

Performs patient-specific activities. These could include (but are not limited to):

• Providing hospice supportive care
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with the prescribed range of motion exercises
• Assisting with blood glucose monitoring
• Care of bed-bound patients
• Incontinence care
• Use lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts

Preferred Experience in:

• Hoyer lift
• Personal care
• Range of Motion Exercises
• Foley care
• Companionship
• Light cleaning

What We Require:

• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle with insurance.
• Pass drug test, criminal background (https://info.flclearinghouse.com), and written competency evaluation.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with the elderly or frail population.
• Preferred: Experience working with Alzheimer’s or Dementia.
• TB test or Chest X-ray required.
• CNA License or HHA Certification
