Job summary

Right at Home is hiring CNAs and PCAs to join our in-home care team. You will deliver compassionate, clinical in-home support and help clients stay in the comfort of their homes.

Qualifications

• Performs personal care activities to assist with daily living.
• Performs patient-specific activities taught by a nurse.

Responsibilities

• Performs personal hygiene tasks for patients.
• Assists with ambulation, transfers and mobility.
• Helps with dressing and shaving as required.
• Prepares meals and snacks per instructions.
• Accompanies patients to errands or medical appointments.
• Performs light housekeeping and maintains a safe environment.
• Provides hospice supportive care when needed.
• Reminds about medications and records changes.
• Assists with range of motion exercises and glucose monitoring.
• Assists bed-bound patients and manages incontinence care.
• Uses lifting equipment like gait belts and Hoyer lifts.

Essential Functions:

Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living. These could include (but are not limited to):

• Personal Hygiene
• Ambulation/Transfers
• Dressing/Shaving
• Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompany patient on errands or medical appointments
• Performs light housekeeping activities

Performs patient-specific activities that are taught by a Right at Home nurse. These could include (but are not limited to):

• Providing hospice supportive care
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with the prescribed range of motion exercises
• Assisting with blood glucose monitoring
• Care of bed-bound patients
• Incontinence care
• Use lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts

Preferred Experience in:

• Hoyer lift
• Personal care
• Range of Motion Exercises
• Foley care
• Companionship
• Light cleaning
