Job summary

Right at Home West Palm Beach is seeking CNAs to join our in-home care team. You will provide bedside care, monitor patients, and support daily living activities in clients’ homes in the Florida region. Flexible scheduling and ongoing training are offered.

Applicants should have a CNA license or HHA certification, at least 2 years of experience with elderly or frail individuals, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation. TB test or chest X-ray may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with the elderly or frail population.
• CNA license or HHA certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with insurance.
• TB test or Chest X-ray required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living including personal hygiene and dressing.
• Support mobility through ambulation and transfers.
• Prepare meals and snacks as instructed.
• Assist with ROM exercises and medication reminders.
• Provide hospice supportive care and assist with bed-bound care.
• Perform light housekeeping as needed.

Essential Functions:

Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living. These could include (but are not limited to):

• Personal Hygiene
• Ambulation/Transfers
• Dressing/Shaving
• Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompany patient on errands or medical appointments
• Performs light housekeeping activities
• Providing hospice supportive care
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with the prescribed range of motion exercises
• Assisting with blood glucose monitoring
• Care of bed-bound patients
• Incontinence care
• Use lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts

Preferred Experience in:

• Hoyer lift
• Personal care
• Range of Motion Exercises
• Foley care
• Companionship
• Light cleaning

What We Require:

Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle with insurance.

Pass drug test, criminal background (https://info.flclearinghouse.com), and written competency evaluation.

Minimum of 2 years of experience with the elderly or frail population.

Preferred: Experience working with Alzheimer’s or Dementia.

TB test or Chest X-ray required.
