Job summary

CareBuilders at Home is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide personal care and support in clients' homes across Michigan. You will follow care plans, take vital signs, document care, and ensure HIPAA compliance while delivering dignified, non-judgmental care.

Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required. We offer competitive pay from $16 to $21 per hour, medical, dental, vision insurance, and a range of benefits

Qualifications

• Completion of a state-approved CNA program or passing of a competency evaluation program meeting state regulations.
• Unrestricted CNA certification.
• At least one year of CNA or HHA homecare experience.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Complies with CareBuilders at Home policies and procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Documents patient care as assigned.
• Delivers personal care services as assigned.
• Takes vital signs and documents per facility protocols.
• Records patient input and output as assigned.
• Provides culturally sensitive care that preserves autonomy and dignity.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

• Completion of a state-approved certified nursing program and/or successful passing of a competency evaluation program which meets state regulations.
• Meets state specific certification requirements and possesses unrestricted certification as a CNA.
• At least one year of work experience as a CNA or HHA in a homecare setting.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.

Responsibilities of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

• Complies with CareBuilders at Home policies/procedures.
• Complies with client facility nursing policies/procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality relative to patient care and facility practices in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
• Communicates information effectively to appropriate personnel.
• Documents patient care as assigned in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Follows the patient's plan of care as assigned.
• Delivers personal care services to patients as assigned.
• Takes vital signs and documents according to facility protocols.
• Records patient input and output as assigned.
• Maintains competency by participating in continuing education programs and meets state specific requirements.
• Provides patient care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that considers cultural diversity and age appropriateness so that autonomy, rights, and dignity are preserved.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
