Job summary

Florence Home in Omaha's Historic Florence Community seeks a Bath Aide/CNA to join our long-term care team. Hours include 2:00pm - 10:15pm on weekdays with rotating weekends and holidays; full-time CNA shifts from 6p-6a or 6a-2:15p are posted to cover resident needs.

Responsibilities include providing bath and personal care, following care plans, ensuring safety, and welcoming new residents to routines while advocating for residents’ physical, mental and emotional well-being.

Qualifications

• Must be CNA certified and registered in Nebraska (75-hour training)
• At least 1-2 years CNA experience
• Fluent reading, writing, speaking and understanding English

Responsibilities

• Make residents feel at home with patience and sensitivity
• Provide excellent resident care per care plans
• Ensure resident safety by identifying risks and preventing accidents and falls
• Welcome new residents and help them adjust to routines
• Provide baths/showers for each resident
• Meet hygiene needs of each resident
• Advocate for residents’ physical, mental and emotional needs
• Go above and beyond assigned duties to assist residents or teammates

Our Bath Aide/CNA's will:

• Make our residents feel at home by treating them with patience and sensitivity
• Provide excellent resident care as directed by care plans
• Ensure resident safety by identifying risks and taking steps to prevent accidents and falls
• Welcome new residents to their home and assist them in becoming familiar with their routine
• Provide a bath/shower for each resident.
• Must have previous bath aide experience.
• Meet hygiene needs of each resident.
• Act as a resident advocate for physical, mental, and emotional needs
• Go above and beyond your assigned duties to help with any reasonable resident or teammate request.

We require our Care Partners to:

• Be CNA certified and registered in the state ofNebraska (75-hour training program)
• Must have at least 1-2 years of CNA experience.
• Be able to fluently read, write, speak and understand English
