Job summary

Florence Home in Omaha's Historic Florence Community seeks a dedicated Floor Technician to maintain clean, safe floors in a long-term care setting. This part-time role requires attention to detail, good physical stamina, and the ability to follow safety protocols.

You will operate and maintain floor cleaning equipment, wax and polish floors, vacuum carpets, and support a team that values integrity, dignity, and compassion.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of floor types and cleaning methods is a plus.
• Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects, if required.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Strong communication skills to interact with team members and clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform commercial cleaning duties in nursing home setting.
• Operate and maintain floor cleaning equipment, such as buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners.
• Strip, wax, and polish floors.
• Vacuum carpets and rugs.
• Sweep and mop hard surface floors.
• Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.

Available Shifts:

• 8a-4p rotating days and weekends
• Pay based on experience.

Our Floor Technicians Will:

• Perform commercial cleaning duties in nursing home setting

• Strip, wax, and polish floors
• Vacuum carpets and rugs
