Job summary

Eastern Star Home in Oriskany, NY is seeking a CNA for the Evening shift. You will deliver routine nursing care to residents, assist with daily living activities, and follow care procedures under the guidance of the supervising nurse.

This full-time evening role requires a High School Diploma and Nursing Assistant certification, with on-the-job training. A strong work ethic, compassion, and ability to lift and assist residents are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and Nursing Assistant certification.
• On-the-job or equivalent training in nursing procedures.
• Ability to perform lifting, bending, and stretching without limitations.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine, daily nursing care to assigned residents, following established nursing care procedures and as directed by your supervisor.
• Participate in and receive report from the nurse upon reporting for duty.
• Review Resident Care Profiles daily to ensure appropriate nursing care.
• Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, and hairstyling.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
• Report all changes in resident condition, accidents, and incidents to the Charge Nurse.
• Perform all assignments and tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude, interact with residents, visitors, physicians, volunteers, and co-workers in a friendly and helpful manner.
