Job summary

Allina Health in Minnesota is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to assist with basic patient care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include feeding, bathing, grooming, mobility, and transporting patients, as well as measuring vital signs and documenting observations.

You'll participate in fall prevention, help with admissions and transfers, and ensure safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or 17 with a high school diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of CNA program or equivalent clinical rotations or CNA academy.
• Current BLS certification from AHA, Red Cross, or in-house within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care and interventions as assigned, following care plans.
• Answer call lights promptly and assist with hydration and meals.
• Support grooming, hygiene, skin care, and patient comfort.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, positioning and ROM per order.
• Participate in fall prevention and safety efforts; observe and report changes.
• Document health data and collect specimens as directed.
• Assist RN with admissions, transfers, and post-mortem care when needed.
