Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Float Pool as a Patient Care Technician. The role supports the patient care team with direct care across units and may assume Health Unit Coordinator duties. Floating across units requires flexibility and strong communication.

The position offers full-time day or night shifts, with weekend and holiday requirements. A CNA certification and BLS are required, along with basic computer literacy and solid

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including toileting, bathing, linen and clothing changes, and comfort measures.
• Record patient care findings and report changes promptly to the RN.
• May perform telemetry duties and assist as a patient care attendant.
• Transport medications to the RN and collaborate with the care team.
• May assume health unit coordinator responsibilities, including phones and unit records.
• Adhere to care plans and maintain a safe environment per policy.
