Job summary

MercyOne Clinton Medical Center is seeking a dedicated CNA Float Pool to join our nurse team. You will provide patient-centered care, assist with activities of daily living, and support clinical teams while rotating through units.

Requirements include CNA certification, Iowa state verification, and BLS within 3 months of hire. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; three years of related experience are desirable. This is a Day Shift, full-time position with weekend responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Aide, verification of certification from the State of Iowa.
• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in activities of daily living and other patient care tasks as directed.
• Record and report vital signs, intake/output, weight, and changes to supervisory staff.
• Provide compassionate physical, emotional, and spiritual support to patients within department scope.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort, including hygiene, feeding, ambulation, and care routines.
• Collaborate with registered nurses and other team members to ensure quality care.
• Demonstrate caring practice and respect for diverse patient needs.
