Job summary

MercyOne Clinton Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the RN Float Pool. This full-time night shift role involves 12-hour shifts, with every third weekend and holiday rotation.

The position requires an Associate degree in nursing (BSN preferred) and an active Iowa RN license (or compact license). BLS is mandatory; ACLS if telemetry is present. Strong communication, critical thinking, and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license or compact RN license recognized by IA.
• BLS required; ACLS required only if unit has telemetry.
• Must complete Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.
• Basic computer skills and good language/math/critical-thinking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assess, intervene, coordinate and provide direct patient care using critical thinking.
• Communicate with physicians, care team, patients and families about the plan of care.
