Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support Registered Nurses and contribute to a safe, respectful environment for patients in Augusta, GA.

You will assist with vital signs, mobility, and daily personal care, while helping RNs monitor conditions and carry out care plans. Teamwork and empathy are essential to restore comfort and dignity to patients daily.

Qualifications

• 1 year of hospital PCT or CNA experience required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers and comfort to support smooth care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes and skin protection.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety.
• Manage supplies, equipment and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
