Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join a collaborative nursing team and assist Registered Nurses in hands-on care and patient comfort. You will support vital signs, mobility and daily needs while upholding safety and dignity for every patient.

Qualifications

• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• CNA certification in North Carolina is required.
• At least 6 months of experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes and skin protection.
• Keep patient areas clean, organized and stocked for safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families and the care team to support safety and quality.
