Job summary

AMOREM, located in Lenoir, North Carolina, is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Assistant to join our team. This floating position involves providing holistic care to patients and their families, ensuring a positive end-of-life experience.

The ideal candidate must have a High School diploma and completion of a Certified Assistant Training Program. Responsibilities include daily care administration, patient observation, and assisting with basic needs, alongside maintaining a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and commitment to the hospice philosophy of care.
• Ability to work on an interdisciplinary team.
• Willingness to work with patients/families regardless of race, color, creed, age, or sexual orientation.

Responsibilities

• Follow all infection control procedures.
• Administer daily care in a safe manner: AM and PM care.
• Assist with ambulation and diets/special nourishment.
• Observe patients and report changes to the RN.
