Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a PCT/CNA-Float to provide basic patient care, including taking vital signs and assisting with daily living activities. You will document observations, support communication within the care team, and float to multiple departments as needed to ensure continuous patient care.

The role requires CNA certification and CPR/BLS credentials, with preferred experience in a clinical healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
• CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS
• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Six months experience in a clinical healthcare environment; experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate safe basic care including taking vital signs and assisting patients with activities of daily living
• Record pertinent information in patient charts and communicate with the Patient Care Team to ensure continuity of care
• Float to various departments within the medical center as needed

Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS:

• 3rd Shift: $2.25/hour
• Weekend: $1.75/hour

SIGN-ON BONUS ELIGIBLE!

• $1,200 Sign On Bonus with a 1-year work commitment.
• Must be of legal age to sign a contract, which is at least 18 years old, to be eligible for a sign on bonus. Candidates under 18 years old may still be considered for the position but are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The PCT/CNA-Float provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs. This position requires floating to various departments within the medical center.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Licenses/Certifications: CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
• Other Licenses/Certifications: CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
