Qualifications

• Must possess current CNA license from the state.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist residents safely.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Maintain working knowledge of all policies and procedures pertinent to the position.
• Report incidents involving residents and complete appropriate documentation.
• Perform housekeeping duties as directed by supervisor.
• Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Move residents to dining room and activities and assist with mobility.
• Follow confidentiality policies regarding resident information.
• Communicate status, appointments, admissions, and transfers to appropriate personnel.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings.
