Job summary

Advocate Health in Milwaukee is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support patient care in the Med Surg unit. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vitals, document in the EMR, and help with admissions, transfers and discharges under supervision of an RN.

The role requires BLS certification and a Nurse Aide in good standing, with a GED/HS or high school diploma. The position offers full-time hours and a 36-hour week with flexible weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
• Certification Addendum and annual education requirements for hospital certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, mobility and transfers.
• Measure and document vital signs and intake/output in EMR.
• Perform rounding and communicate patient/family needs to RN.
• Support admission, transfer and discharge processes and maintain room setup.
