Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) at GSS SD Desmet Ctr in De Smet, SD. The NA will provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse, helping with hygiene, mobility, meals, and vital signs.

The role includes a variable schedule with nights and weekends, a 40-hour work week, and a FLEX premium plus weekend and evening differential. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• CNA certification with state approval or in process; required within four months.
• Minimum age 16; prior long-term care experience preferred.
• Annual continuing education requirements of at least 12 hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Support transfers, positioning, ROM, and vital signs under RN supervision.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and documenting resident responses and changes.
• Maintain infection control practices and PPE usage; participate in wellness activities.
