Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred or demonstrated caregiving experience.
• Experience with dementia/Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, mobility needs, or other advanced non-medical care needs is strongly preferred.
• Ability to follow individualized care plans and maintain client confidentiality.
• Reliable, punctual, trustworthy and dependable.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation if required for assignment.
• Able to complete required background checks and drug screening and TB screening as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and activities of daily living.
• Provide companionship and emotional support while promoting client independence.
• Offer specialized non-medical care for clients needing additional experience.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and fall-prevention according to care plan.
• Help with meal preparation, light housekeeping and laundry.
• Monitor changes in health or wellbeing and report to supervisor.
• Communicate professionally with clients, families and care team.
• Follow care plans, policies and privacy requirements.
• Accompany clients to appointments and errands when requested.
