Job summary

IHA seeks a dedicated CNA for the St Joseph PACE facility in Mishawaka, IN. This full-time role provides essential personal care and support to elderly participants, enabling independence and daily living activities.

You will perform activities of daily living, assist with mobility and exercise, and offer compassionate supervision and coordination with nursing care. A sign-on bonus is available with a two-year commitment and first-day benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be an active certified nurse assistant in the state where PACE Organization is located.
• Minimum of one year of documented experience working with a frail or elderly population strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Superior written/verbal communication skills.
• Must be customer focused, exercise independent judgment and flexibility to adapt to ongoing change.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance maintaining the independence of the participant to conduct activities of daily living, including toileting, showers, eating, and grooming.
• Assist participants in the maintenance of physical activity, exercise, and walking.
• Provide behavioral supervision or support for participants, such as reality orientation, reminder to follow through with nursing and medication instruction, diet restrictions, and emotional reassurance.
• Assist with general activities such as conversing with participants, recreation activities, meal and snack serving, and housekeeping.
