Job summary

Hospice of Marion County, part of Empath Health, seeks a caring CNA Field for weekend coverage in Marion County, FL. Shifts run 8am–8pm on Saturdays and Sundays, with PRN availability.

The ideal candidate has Florida CNA certification, basic life support, and at least six months of CNA experience, plus a valid driver's license. You will provide direct patient care, support families, and work within a compassionate, mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Six months of CNA experience preferred.
• Valid Florida Board of Nursing CNA certification.
• Valid Florida State Driver’s License.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical care to patients, including bathing, changing linens, feeding, assisting with ambulation and transfers, and positioning.
• Reinforce dressings and adhere to infection control procedures and Standard Precautions.
• Perform light housekeeping in patient areas and replenish supplies.
• Collaborate with Hospice team members to educate families about care and disease processes.
