Job summary

Hospice of Marion County, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a compassionate CNA Field to support Marion County patients with at-home and facility care. The role is part-time (24 hours/week) with 12-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays, 8am–8pm, delivering essential physical care and comfort.

You will assist with bathing, transfers, and ambulation, reinforce dressings, and help educate families while adhering to infection control and safety standards. A strong bedside manner is essential.

Qualifications

• Six months of CNA experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
• Recommendation letter from an instructor may be requested for applicants with no experience.
• Valid Florida CNA license and driver’s license are required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care including bathing, linens, feeding, ambulation, and transfers.
• Support range-of-motion exercises and proper positioning; reinforce dressings as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping and restock supplies in patient areas.
• Educate patients and families on care needs and disease processes.
• Follow infection control procedures and standard precautions at all times.
