Job summary

Tidewell Hospice, a part of Empath Health, is seeking a caring and motivated CNA to work in Southwest Florida, covering the Sarasota/Venice area with a Monday–Friday 8a–5p schedule. You will provide compassionate care under the Hospice Aide Plan of Care and support patients and families in homes and communities.

Requirements include a valid Florida CNA license, valid driver’s license, and 1–3 years of experience (long-term care preferred).

• Valid Florida CNA license required.
• Valid Florida driver's license.
• 1–3 years of training/experience; long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports the organization’s mission and values on a consistent basis.
• Performs personal care/home maintenance activities per the Hospice Aide Plan of Care.
• Recognizes and reports unusual conditions or incidents to the nurse.
• Works within the Hospice Aide scope of practice at all times.
• Maintains confidentiality in care of patient and family.

Tidewell Hospice , a part of Empath Health is seeking a caring and motivated CNA to work with us in Southwest Florida while providing exceptional care on the following schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p; Sarasota/Venice coverage area.

What you’ll Do

• Supports and carries out the organization’s mission, vision, and values on a consistent basis.
• Performs only those personal care/home maintenance activities contained in a written assignment (Hospice Aide Plan of Care) by a health professional employee.
• Recognizes and reports unusual conditions, incidents or behavior of a patient and/or patient/family interaction to the patient’s nurse or supervisory nurse.
• Recognizes the role of the Hospice Aide and works within that scope of practice at all times.
• Maintains utmost respect for confidentiality in care of the patient/family.

What You’ll Need

• Valid Florida Board of Nursing certification (CNA License).
• Valid Florida State Driver’s License
• One to Three Years of training and/or experience required. One year of experience in a long term care facility strongly preferred.
