Job summary

Apple Rehab West Haven is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our caring team at 308 Savin Avenue in West Haven, CT. Join a family-oriented, community-focused facility known for compassionate care and a supportive staff culture.

Starting pay is $20/hour with differential of $5.00/hour for shifts outside scheduled hours. Available shifts: 7a-3p, 3p-11p, 11p-7a; Per diem welcome. Benefits include health insurance, PTO, holidays, and more.

Qualifications

Must hold current CNA certification in good standing.
No history of patient/resident abuse per State Registry.
Proficient in reading, writing, and following instructions.
Strong attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Team player with good cooperation and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrates patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards residents and their support networks.

Responsibilities

Assist residents in bathing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions, dressing, walking and wheelchair use.
C.N.A. documents personal care given according to facility policies and performs nursing functions as directed.
Observes and reports changes in residents’ condition, including skin breakdowns; reports accidents or injuries.
Records all necessary charting entries and answers call lights promptly; responds calmly to emergencies.
