Qualifications

Must hold an active, unrestricted RN license with a minimum of two years nursing experience, including at least one year in long‑term care.
Ability to design and/or implement lesson plans that align learning objectives with student outcomes.
Ability to adapt teaching strategies for diverse community college students.
Completion of Train‑the‑Trainer course if RN/LPN lacks adult education experience per VABON requirements.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Create a learning environment that facilitates knowledge and skill acquisition.
Align activities with student learning outcomes and provide timely, meaningful feedback.
Deliver instruction and assess student learning, including early assessments.
Maintain schedule flexibility for day, evening, or weekend classes.
Hold at least 1 office hour per week for each course assigned.
