Job summary

Optalis Healthcare in Westland, MI is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate direct care in accordance with each resident's plan of care. Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of a State-approved nurse aide training and competency evaluation program within 4 months of hire; or equivalent program with no 24+ month break.
• Verifiable training and competency evaluation on the State Nurse Aide Registry, including abuse/neglect checks.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care duties such as bathing, feeding and assisting with activities of daily living.
• Maintains beds and environment; distributes nourishments.
• Maintains personal and oral hygiene of patients and assists with plans of care.
• Documents and reports patient conditions and responses to interventions to the Unit Charge Nurse.
